Goals hold us accountable. They give us a direction and something to strive for, if they are something that we really want. Here are the three that I’ve decided I want for myself in 2011.
- Just Blog - As another friend and successful blogger recently pointed out, I know all about blogging, except how to blog consistently. While most say content is king, I believe consistency is the key to being successful.
- Workout regularly - I used to enjoy working out. It makes me feel alive and energetic. So, I’m committing to working out regularly.
- Make better choices - I used to enjoy working out, to a certain extent at least. But running in circles around a track just isn’t for me. So, I’m committing to working out 4 times a week and making the workouts as different as possible. No one ever said consistency had to be monotonous and boring.
- Learn to Re-connect in Real Life - In all my years of meeting people, I don’t think I’ve ever felt as socially awkward meeting and interacting with people face-to-face. It’s never been so difficult for me to go somewhere to enjoy a show and talk to a random stranger. At this time, I’m attributing it to being so connected using Twitter, Facebook, and every other social service that surfaces. It’s time to disconnect and relearn to interact with people, in person.
